why couldn't you just stay?
This morning when i woke up i could feel you next to me.
and though i couldn't see you, i could almost hear you breath.
a single, silent moment is all i ever need.
to have these distant memories come rushing back to me.
why did you have to leave me?
why couldn't you just stay?
you took more than your freedom when you walked away.
you left me here not knowing that you would not come home.
time has shown no mercy and i am still alone.
every day is a constant battle
each as painfull as the last.
how will i have a future
if i can't let go the past.
