The water slowly comes and goes
runs up the sand around my toes
I stand and stare far out to sea
beyond the waves where I long to be

Small steps nearer to darkness I take
tired of struggles not wishing to wake
the water foams around my face
my shirt floating surrounds my waist

I swim a little very slow
to get as deep as I can go
I turn around and face the sky
watch a few small birds fly by

close my eyes and relax at last
sounds around me fading fast
darkness greatfully comes my way
I guess I did nothing again today

since you have gone
how could I do anything
my mind is numb ,my soul is shattered
come back to me is all that matters
